LEWISTON
The summer season means that it's time for play festivals. In Summer 2022, 18th & Union chose Samuel D Hunter's Lewiston as a part of their Portable Play Festival programming. One of the major plot points of the play is that one of the character's has old tapes from her mother. The tapes detail the mother's re-creation of the Lewis & Clark Expedition.
The actor playing the role of Female Voice (the mother) was unable to be present during performances. As a work around for this dilemma, the director and I set up recording sessions at the Seattle Public Library - Central Branch with the actor. Once the recordings were complete, I then edited them in Pro Tools to clean them up and also give them the old timey feel of a field tape recorder.

Female Voice: Lindsay Welliver
